About Us

We are a group of individuals who own or have family members who own lakeshore or contiguous property on Big Sissabagama Lake. The volunteer board members are voted in at the Annual Meeting in May for 2-3 year terms. To learn more about membership visit our membership page here.

Our Mission

Our mission is to promote boating safety and stocking programs, conservation of our natural resources, to be concerned about the watershed as to how it affects the lake, and to promote enforcement of all town and county laws and ordinances affecting Big Sissabagama Lake.

Boating and Fishing Regulations

As we enter into the peak season on the lake, please remember these boating rules, per the Town of Sand lake ordinance and the DNR.

  • Boat Towing Hours: 10am – 6pm
Towing a person on water skis, aqua plane, inner tube, or similar device is only allowed during the listed above hours
  •  “Slow, No Wake Speed” required within 100 feet of shoreline or swimmer.
  • Operate a vessel at a distance from other vessels (powered or not) or at a speed that exceeds safe and reasonable limits.
    • AKA, watch for kayakers, SUPers, and canoers.

Help keep our lake clean by reminding all visitors, guests, renters, and vacationers, to clean their water equipment before entering the lake. This includes clearing weeds and other hitchhikers from:
Boat, trailers, PWC (jet skis), floatation devices, inner tubes, water skis, etc.
